You wake up in the morning feeling queasy and nauseous. The odor of coffee brewing turns your stomach and the thought of cooking eggs makes you lose your appetite. These are signs of morning sickness. If you already know you’re pregnant then you are quickly becoming accustomed to dealing with morning sickness. If you haven’t been to the doctor yet or taken a pregnancy test, you may want to consider doing so especially if you’ve missed a monthly period or are late. Some women who experience irregular cycles of menstruation may not suspect pregnancy based solely on a late period.

Morning sickness appears in the first trimester of pregnancy and is usually gone by the beginning of the second trimester or fourth month. Morning sickness is normally characterized by nausea, vomiting and an aversion to certain smells. As a faithful coffee drinker, it was surprising to me how the smell of coffee made me sick through each of my pregnancies. The odor of fried foods also made me very nauseous. It may be triggered by an increase in hormones and/or low blood sugar. Morning sickness is common and lessens as the pregnancy progresses. Although it is referred to as morning sickness, this condition is not necessarily confined to morning. While it is true that morning sickness is typically more prevalent in the morning, it is thought this is because the stomach is empty upon awakening. Morning sickness can occur at any time of the day or night.
Morning sickness is one of the minor annoyances of pregnancy. It can be helpful to eat smaller meals more often throughout the day rather than a few large meals. Eating bland foods such as crackers, jello and broth can help to counter the feeling of nausea. Ginger ale is also effective. It is also best to try and avoid any foods that may trigger morning sickness due to sensitivity to certain smells.

While morning sickness is an inconvenient side effect of pregnancy, it is normal and it passes quickly enough. Of course, it doesn’t seem that way when you’re waking up sick every morning. For some expectant mothers morning sickness can be particularly draining. If the nausea is quite severe or vomiting profusely, let your doctor know. He or she may prescribe medication to help alleviate the symptoms of morning sickness. Take heart – morning sickness is temporary and you’ll soon be able to eat for two without feeling as if you’re out at sea.

What is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is quite a rare form of cancer affecting the external lining of the lungs and the lower digestive tract. It’s around four times more likely to be found in men than women.

Why are cases more common in men?

Unlike most cancers, the medical profession know that the cause of the majority of Mesothelioma cases is an exposure to asbestos. Between 70%-80% of people diagnosed with this type of cancer say they have been in contact with asbestos.
It affects more men than women due to the exposure many men may have had during their working lives.

What is asbestos?

Asbestos is a fibrous heat and fire resistant material. There are three types of asbestos, Blue, Brown and White and a there is a link between Blue and Brown asbestos and Mesothelioma. Both types of asbestos have been banned in the UK since the late 1980’s, while White asbestos (now also thought to be harmful) was banned in After the Second World War the use of asbestos was prevalent in industries including shipbuilding, the building industry, the motor industry, railways

The Risks

If you have been in contact with asbestos the onset of Mesothelioma may not develop
Until 15-40 years after your first exposure. The onset of the disease is fatal in most cases within one or two years. Because asbestos is made up of lots of small fibres, you can breathe these in, where they can work their way into the lining of your lungs. Over a period of time they irritate the lungs and damage the cells.
Fibres can also attach themselves to your clothes and be carried home, putting your family at risk. Studies have confirmed that families of people who have been exposed to asbestos have a higher risk from of developing the disease. Statistics released by
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on working related Mesothelioma deaths from 1981-2000 also concluded that male deaths in certain areas including:West Dumbartonshire, Barrow-in-Furness, Plymouth, Portsmouth and South Tyneside, were are associated with past exposure to asbestos in shipbuilding. While Other areas with the high overall rates generally associated with past asbestos exposure are those close to or containing railway engineering sites including Eastleigh, Crewe and Nantwich.

There are a large number of cases at present because of the long period of development of the disease. The cases are expected to peak around 2018 then start to decline.

If you have developed the disease due to exposure to asbestos, you may be eligible for compensation. Ask a solicitor, or your specialist Nurse, or doctor for information.

It is not supposed to be treated. You should know what is this and what to do. There are certain symptoms and risk associated with health because of estrogen level drop in the female organism, but it is able to be cured.

Menopause (Climax) is a specific period in every woman’s life characterized by termination of menstrual periods, and various psychological and physical changes. Menopause is characterized by estrogen hormones development disorder. Menopause is considered to come when a woman does not observe any blood drops of the menstrual periods during a year. Usually this process comes at 45-56 years of age and lasts for a long time. Menopause lasts for long because the process has serious consequences and cannot quickly change the whole organism. There are several stages to help women to prepare to this process better. It occurs for relieving symptoms and other reactions. Recently the climax treatment has been considered as important.

During general aging changes, the climacteric changes are experienced in the reproductive system. The sexual hormones developed by ovaries affect functions of various systems. So, if there is estrogen deficiency, osteoporosis, hormonal cardiopathy, depressions, age-related psychoses, including climacteric syndrome may be observed.

For relieving symptoms and supporting the organism, menopause can be treated with the medications. During past several decades the traditional medicine recommended the menopause therapy with synthetic estrogen, substituting for deficient estrogen in the organism for hot flush reduction and other uncomfortable symptoms relieving. However, mass therapy is discussed because of adverse reactions and potential risks during long application.

Recently the herbal remedies have been successfully used for relieving symptoms of climax. There are various herbal remedies based on natural medicine and consisting of the natural extracts for smoothing of hormonal changes and maintenance of effective protection during menopause. These remedies usually are based on the phytoestrogen. Phytoestrogen regulates metabolism and hormonal balance, reduces climacteric symptoms and fights against the ageing process, and it is a natural remedy, so any side-effects of phytoestrogen have been reported. They make deficiency with no adverse reactions in contrast to synthetic hormones. If you decided to treat menopause, consult the doctor.

Every woman experiences the period called menopause or climax. It is the specific period in women life when estrogen development by ovaries terminates. Usually it comes at 50 years of age. Objectively it is revealed by estrogen level decrease in blood and menstrual periods termination. Generally the process is individual. Every woman experiences it in a different way. At the average the physiological process starts in women of 45-50 years of age and depends on various factors. Heredity plays a big role. Menopause may start earlier or later.

Menopause is characterized by full termination of female sexual hormones development in the female organism, menstrual cycle disorders (change in discharge amount), change in mucous of vagina (dryness), and uterus reduction. A word ‘menopause’ literally translated from Latin means ‘end of menstrual bleeding.’

Symptoms of menopause may appear about 51 years of age, but may be experienced earlier. The early beginning of menopause does not mean anything, just your organism feature. But women should be prepared for this process physically and morally. For this purpose it is better know some symptoms to reveal the beginning of menopause.

Symptoms of menopause include: sudden changes in menstrual cycle, menstrual bleeding may be profuse or irregular; weight gain, especially in the belly, or on the contrary weight loss; sleep disorders or anxiety never experienced earlier; night disposition to sweating, accompanied by hot flush; unusual mood swings, depression without visible reasons; and irritability.

Also you can face the following problems: sudden change in libido, sexual inclination may be increased or lowered, sudden change of short-term memory. Though menstrual periods are still stable and the doctors even recommend using contraceptive medication for protection, the women starts to understand that ageing process is inevitably coming, but different women relate to this state in different way. After the first symptoms of menopause, women experience menopause and worry. Some of them getting upset of thought that they cannot have children, but some, on the contrary, breathe freely with end of menstrual periods.

However, a woman can react in different way, but the process is inevitable. All women pass through this period of life, just be ready.

Menopause is a period in women characterized by disorder of estrogen hormones release. These hormones define activity of ovaries and hypophysis. Usually this process starts in the female organism after the age of 45 to 55 years, and its average duration is from 4 to 8 years.

Menopause does not come in one moment, this process is complicated physically and psychologically. Generally the female organism has enough time to prepare for a new stage of the life because the process lasts for long and categorized by certain stages which help to manage with these changes.

Menopause is divided into three stages: pre-menopause (from the beginning of lowering ovaries function to menopause), menopause (the last menstrual periods), and post-menopause (from the end of the last menstrual periods to the end of the life cycle). The process occurs gradually and woman is getting used to changes without serious affecting. But very often women feel menopause depression.

The scientists have been trying for over the century to find correlation between menopause and depression. The physiological and psychological changes observed during menopause depression have not been studied yet. Many mood swings are caused by estrogen deficiency, however it is not always like this, so it cannot be explained by the specific factors. Menopause was always associated with the period when women are especially sensitive to mental disorders. However, psychological disorders depend on various factors. Very often these disorders are related to early menopause. Early menopause may arise due to many reasons, for example: surgeries, ovaries functionality lowering, diseases, and many other disorders.

The beginning of the early menopause for many women signifies the end of life, but it is not like this. They cannot have children, they are getting older after menopause and these factors cause depression. After deep reflections, they may experience mood disorder hard to be treated.

This female menopause depression problem has been studied for a long time by the doctors, and the clinical researches conducted to reveal menopause depression reasons define various results.

Except usual ageing of the organism, women experience such physiological process as menopause.

Menopause is a normal physiological process in certain age in all women. So, having reached the certain age, every woman passes this process that changes her further life. Menopause is one of physiological processes affecting the whole organism. This process is called climax that means from Greek a ‘step’ to a new life because it is a period of numerous changes. Menopause is characterized by female estrogen hormones development disorder. The doctors call this process the full termination of menstrual periods. During menopause the hormonal background is changed, ovaries and hypophysis functionality is decreased leading to menstrual periods termination, change of vagina mucous (dryness), and uterus reduction.

Menopause, except hormonal background change, is characterized by the most unpleasant property, ageing. Really, menopause is a synonym of ageing of women. Menopause starts usually in women at the age of 45-50 years and depends on different factors. Sometimes menopause may start earlier or later. Some women are afraid of approaching menopause and consider these changing as something horrible, some women, on the contrary, face the changes as a new stage of the life. Every woman considers this physiological process and this stage in different way according to her opinion.

If menopause is naturally coming at the proper age not due to diseases or surgery, it can be divided into three stages:

Premenopause — the period from the beginning of ovaries functionality decrease to menopause;
Menopause — the period of premenopause and postmenopause, including one year after menopause;
Postmenopause — the period after menopause to old age.

After menopause process termination, the woman during menopause comes from the reproductive period to unproductive, losing ability to conceive and give birth to a child.

The organism responds to new changes in a different way. But menopause symptoms are almost identical. They include emotional disorders, headaches, tachycardia, irritability, weakness, depression, forgetfulness. Only the doctor can relieve menopause process. Therefore, after first symptoms of this process, women are recommended to visit the doctor.

A missed period is sometimes the first sign a woman has that she may be pregnant. For other women, however, they begin to experience pregnancy symptoms a week or two before a period is even due. It can be nerve wracking to wait and find out whether or not you are pregnant. You are probably asking the question: how soon can I take a pregnancy test?

How early can you take a pregnancy test?

Home pregnancy tests work by detecting the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is present in a woman’s body during pregnancy. The body starts producing the hCG hormone as soon as the fertilized egg implants to the uterus, which happens six to ten days after conception. However, because implantation happens at a different time for every woman, early pregnancy tests are not always accurate.

Many pregnancy tests say that you can take the test as early as the first day of your missed period. But that doesn’t mean you’ll get accurate results if you test this early. Several brands claim that their home pregnancy test is accurate 99% of the time. But what they don’t mention is that the test is not that accurate if you test early. The first day of missing your period is still fairly early for taking a home pregnancy test.

If you decide to test early, just remember that you may get an inaccurate test result. If you simply can’t wait, go ahead and test early, but keep in mind that you will probably want to test again in a few days to verify the earlier results. The most common problem if you test too early can be a false negative, so it doesn’t hurt to test again later.

Which brands are best for early pregnancy tests?

Which brands work best for testing early? It’s tough to say. Many people swear by the e.p.t. brand, and others believe First Response works best. First Response was actually shown in a study to be the most sensitive to the hCG hormone. But other brands make improvements to their products all the time. It’s very difficult to say for sure which brand works best.

If you test too early, your body may not have produced enough of the hCG hormone to provide an accurate result on a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, hCG levels in your body will rapidly rise in the first few days after implantation. If you take an early pregnancy test and get a negative result, you may wish to retest after a few days. Home pregnancy tests rarely give a false positive, but it does occur, so keep that in mind. The only truly accurate pregnancy test is done in a doctor’s office.

If you do test early, know that the home pregnancy test can give a false negative or positive. Test again in a few days to give yourself a more accurate reading. If you do end up with a positive on your home pregnancy test, set an appointment with a doctor or a midwife to verify your results.
