Asian skin tones range from a porcelain look to tones of yellow. Selecting makeup to compliment your coloring can be challenging. Use powder to set makeup and get a beautiful, flawless finish. Blush will add contour and dimension to your face when applied properly.
Take a trip to a local department store and test the foundation, even if you choose to buy it elsewhere. If your skin is the porcelain type, try a foundation with a slight pinkish tone. If not, be sure to go with yellow-toned foundations.
When you test foundation, apply it to the inside of your wrist. If you feel comfortable doing so, have a beauty advisor apply the test foundation to your jaw line. To do this, you cannot be wearing any makeup at the time. Remember, your goal is to choose a color that will blend into your complexion and even it, while camouflaging any imperfections. A healthy body radiates healthy skin. Drink lots of water, eat healthier and balance your intake. Eat “good fats” like flaxseed, walnut oil and fish oil or eat salmon and other coldwater fish. Eat more fiber in the form of nuts, dried fruits, figs and prunes. Add whole grains and eat plenty of veggies. Whatever you do, avoid excess sugar, sugar burns up energy and makes us feel sluggish preventing us from doing everyday things.
